Our District 32 Key Issues
Education Reform

Every child deserves to receive a first-class education. Kaled understands the issues facing our community regarding the education system. Kaled’s son had to transfer three times during high school due to the difficult and confusing application process. Our district is in dire need of efficient and equitable enrollment practices.
Our community has struggled with understanding the many pathways in securing a viable high school option in our community. Kaled believes that working with the district to provide inclusive access to local elementary, middle and high schools will improve the odds for success for future generations.
Kaled will towards providing high-quality education options for all of our students, without forcing them to travel for hours to and from school. Education is a public service and local students should not be denied a local education if they choose it based on a deeply flawed application process. Our schools need to have access to specialized programs from 3K-12 within the district. You deserve programs in STEM, ARTS, and Humanities. Our children should not have to travel to the Bronx, Manhattan, or Staten Island to attain a good education. Success in today’s world is contingent upon education.
A good education is contingent upon a strong advocate guaranteeing quality schools and teachers for our community. Kaled believes that we need programs for students learning English, and those interested in learning a valuable trade. Our community will benefit from programs designed to prepare young people for a college and a career.
Kaled also believes that campus schools should also be able to service students in their zone. Currently, campus schools struggle to attract neighborhood students due to the reliance on an application system that favors ranking students based on grades, attendance, etc.
Kaled believes that our children should have the right to attend one of the schools on campus. Kaled affirms “I believe that the continued support of 3k for all is beneficial for the academic development of our young ones. This program has been proven to increase math and literacy skills in our elementary and middle schools.”
